Yeah - that is exactly the problem I had. So I gather that your smbclient can see the shares etc. on your domain if you enter a valid user ID and password with Admin rights - that means it should be working.

Mine did that too - so I see your problem.

hi man

I duno wat to say, is not working...i can view the file that shared , but my aim is actually login the computer with the AD created in windows server....

i jst found something abt the secret.tbd in /etc/samba......the 1st time i joined the DOMAIN the connection is fine....but it won't work after the administrator password is changed....
i check the the secret.tbd...it seem like the previous password is actually occur in it....
duno wat is tat mean..........do u think i need to change the password back???

any idea how to cope with this?

how u think if i do samba 3 and kerberous with suse and windows server 2k3....... akthough is slightly more complicated.

Yup,

we still have old style domain so I am not sure. I struggled to get what I have right. Do you use Active Directory?

yes , using AD ....as is windows server 2k3...........

Yea - we do not use AD here.

I dunno what tio say to help. I am out of suggestions. Possibly reload the Linux box.... If you are still testing.

hi all,

regarding to the wbinfo prob i hav, recently i try this wbinfo -p which will ping winbind itself

when i do tat, it giv :could not ping windbindd!!!

omg....do u know wat happen? any idea...is it the prob y i could do wbinfo -t or -u
