SUSE 9 ftp client

Hi all,
I want to try suse 9 and before going aout and get it, I want to know if one of you guys have suse 9 running,
I would like to know if ther is gftp or other ftp client ( gui) that comes with suse 9 ( last time that I check on suse site was not listed)
and second can samba 2.x ( default form suse 9 ) be upgrades to smb 3 ( sience suse uses a diferente fiel herarqy. othr words if any one has installed samba 3 on suse.

You will be able to do both even if they don't come with the distribution at the start.

I would doubt it unless there is a bug I am unaware of.

I work in webpage desing in I use linux as my main pc . so I need for sure a ftp client, and also need a sql server with apache.
so I really need to know if any suse 9 user have gftp install and if samba can be updated
