SUSE 9 "Athlon Kernel" HAM modem problem
 

Has anyone updated their box with the Athlon Kernel? I lost access to my Intel HAM modem when I updated the Kernel using YAST2. The modem is found and configures, however I receive a "pppd: died, can't open serial port" message. The modem worked very well before with the original kernel.
Switching back to "standard Kernel" in Yast2 fixed the problem. Gotta love Yast2! Any suggestions would be great.
