SuSE 9 & KDE 3.2
http://download.kde.org/download.php...SuSE/ix86/9.0/
The link shown above will provide mirrors to KDE 3.2 for SuSE 9. Other distros can be found here. I've been using KDE 3.2 for around a week or more, seems extremely stable. It was painful for a couple of days but I switched to only using KDE software (konqueror for browsing, instead of moz - & kmail for email instead of evolution - kopete for im instead of gaim - Konversation for irc instead of irssi or xchat). Very impressive work from the developers and volunteers. Previously I used debian & gnome, fluxbox or openbox so switching to SuSE & using KDE is a big deal for me. ;) I downloaded the *.rpm files into a local folder & as root installed with rpm -Uvh *.rpm I'm not familiar with how this can be done with YAST so if that's the proper way feel free to let me know. The KDE startup splash has easy install of themes, very neat. Icons are easily installed. Superkaramba is rocking with easy use of themes. Keep in mind I'm not an expert of any sort, but I have been using Linux since '98 and it's currently the only OS I use both at home and work. *mods: I apologize if this was posted in the wrong area |
Hi!
Nice to hear You have some experience about KDE 3.2 I think also download KDE 3.2, but I've one silly question: Must I download all rpm-packages? And what are differences between 3.1 and 3.2 versions? Thanks! |
