SuSE 9.1 - No 'Make' Command?!?
I recently downloaded and in stalled SuSE linux 9.1 and when i tried to install a program it required me to use the make command (ie. make install, etc.).. When i put in the command it gave me a bash line that said "not a valid command" or something like that. Is there a different command that you must use in SuSE? There has to be a command to make a file, right?

If you did the default install then 'make' isn't installed by default. You'll need to install it through Yast.

would you be so kind as to explain to me how to do that? i am new to the whole 'linux' revolution (obviously)

i went into the install and add new software option in YaST, but i already have everything checked.. is there something else i need to do?
|
i just found a bunch of stuff in the "Install Package" section that i did not have checked so i am going to install everything (except the braille option) and we'll see if that works.. i'll post back if it does or dosn't.
