Unhappy SUSE 8.1 Palm setup

SUSE 8.1 very quickly loaded and recognized all my hardware: dual monitors, deskjet printer, CDRW, network with cable modem, everything except my PALM. According to what I have seen from searching my computer, the files were loaded at installation time, however, I must be missing the boat...how do I get my Palm setup??
When I look at hardware info...there is a description for a HANDSPRING...which is what I have, however, it does not let me configure it...HELP!!!

Make sure you install the application Jpilot in Yast2. In Jpilot set the port to the USB port or serial port where the device is connected. Run Jpilot, then have it do a backup of your Palm device, which then instructs you to hit the button on the docking cradle...
