suse 10 restarts instead of shuting down (in gui)

well the topic says it all- in KDE clicking on shut down restarts the system - in konsole HALT works right. The strange thing is that it worked well before some updates and sudenly it doesn't

kde 3.5 from suse officcial - + some multimedia rpms from packman

have you checkes the kde control center -> system
settings controling the login behaviour of the system?
What are the entries in suseconfig?

all the settings in kcontrol login manager are ok i think - shut down command is halt so it should work

anyway i didn't change anything in there and it used to work before some system updates
