SUSE 10 keyboard and X freeze, mouse cursor still moves

I have recently installed SUSE 10 on to my desktop computer, since then it will randomly freeze up, except the mouse will still move around, but nothing happens when I click on anything. The keyboard doesn't do anything. My system has an AMD Athlon XP 2800+, 512MB corsair value ram, MSI Geforce 6600GT, Sound Blaster Audigy 2, Belkin NIC, Highpoint raid controller card, it's all on the asrock k7Upgrade 880 motherboard. I have a logitech navigator keyboard. It started happening after I switched from the generic keyboard drive to the one for the logitech. I switched back but it still locks up, so I don't know if the locking up is related to the keyboard or it's just coincidence that it started happening then.
If this is in the wrong area I'm sorry, but I don't know if this is a hardware or a software problem.
Thanks for the help.

I don't have a lot of experience with SUSE, but here's a few things I might try:

Can you switch to a different virtual console (eg Ctrl+Alt+F2) or restart X (Ctrl+Alt+Backspace), or is the keyboard *entirely* useless?

Have you tried restarting X using the mouse? What happens to the keyboard then?

What are your xorg.conf lines for the keyboard?

You said you'd switched your module back from the logitech one, but have you tried using a standard keyboard too? If you try that for a few days, and the problem doesn't recur, at least you'll be pretty sure it's the keyboard at fault. That won't mean you can't ever use your logitech board, it just means you'll have narrowed down the source of the problem a bit.

X completely locks up. The cursor moves around but when I click on anything nothing happens. The keyboard is completely useless. I'll have to look for a standard keyboard to give it a try. I think I have one some where.

Thanks for the help.
