I run the installation dvd. Everything goes fine until the innitial boot. I get Opperating system not found! there were not error messages or anything else. I run the install again, same thing. Please help!
Do you have another OS on the box along with SuSE?
Did you make a partition to intall SuSE into?
Did you format that partition before installing?
Your post is way short of useful information to help in diagnosing the problem.
I's suggest this: Re-install SuSE. Sit there with pen and paper. Write down each step of the installation; what you choose to do; what you choose not to do. All the way to re-boot.
Type up the notes neatly; not all jammed together in one long paragraph.
Post your notes in this thread. We may be able to see what you did/did not do that results in 'operating system not found'.
I had an old mandrake partition I had forgoten about. Mandrake hasn't worked in forever. I thought the Suse install had erased it but it looks like it didn't. I'm reinstalling suse right now.
