Superkaramba not displaying news feeds

I have a feeling that I'm about to go 0 for 3 with questions on this site, but I'll try anyway.

I'm running Superkaramba 0.33 installed from source on Slackware 9.1.

I am unable to see the news feeds in Light-n-Crisp. I can view these types of feeds without problems using fvwmheadlines, but I would like to get them up for my wife in KDE with Superkarabma.

I have already taken care of the missing Perl dependencies like LWP UserAgent and HTML TokeParser. I have also upgraded my Python installation to the most recent release. Aside from that, I have spent hours Googling through posts identical this one which remain unanswered. This is my last hope.

I'm not sure if this is related or not, but I have been unable to select "Configure theme" in either Light-n-Crisp or Slickbar.

superkaramba /home/shay/6751-Karamba-LNC-0.4.2/Light-n-Crisp-1024/news-left.theme
gives the following message, although I believe after some searching that this might be an unrelated and harmless warning:

superkaramba: TaskManager::TaskManager()
ImportError: No module named news-left
------------------------------------------------------
What does ImportError mean?

It means that I couldn't load a python add-on for news-left.theme
If this is a regular theme and doesn't use python
extensions, then nothing is wrong.
------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for any help
