Suggestions on a good IDE for python?

Till now I've been using the Kate editor but I would really like to use an IDE to do routine stuff like one click compile, auto completition etc.
I've found on the internet SPE and ERIC
Anyone has any suggestions concerning IDE for python or I should check to use one of those two above?

I'm asking since people here could be at highest levels on python programming and might know better than me.

I have never used SPE, so can't comment on that one. Eric is very good and I use it to create my own qt based apps.
