Suggestions for storing passwords on FreeRadius
 

I'm helping a local ISP change their older redhat box to a Slackware box. They currently have the freeradius set to read off the /etc/passwd file for their dialup users. This method kinda makes me a bit uneasy. Anyone have a easy/secure option to try with freeradius for a ISP?
