stupid time problem
ok
have just got redhat9 and mandrake 10 on the same computer when i put the time right in mandrake and then boot into redhat the time is an hour fast, when put the time right in redhat and then boot into mandrake the time is an hour fast now my head hurts any ideas? |
Assumption: one of them thinks the hardware-clock
is set to UTC, the other thinks it's set to the local timezone + daylight saving ... :) Since you ARE on UTC that may lead to a conflict ;) Cheers, and God bless, Tink |
Another assumption:
Could be the hardware clock is an hour ahead, and when you boot, the system is setting the time according to the hardware clock? You could try this (as root): assuming it's April 07, 03:47pm... date 04071547 hwclock -systohc # sets the hardware clock to the system time |
All times are GMT -5. The time now is 01:30 PM. |
