Streaming video server help?
 

So, I'm trying to set up a very simple streaming video rigging... basically, a webcam attached to my window which I can watch from anywhere I have an internet connection. I've tried using the wizards and the panels in VLC, with every permutation of configuration I can think of... yet, I can't see a damn thing I'm doing. Has anyone set up one and would be willing to help me out? I'm at my wits' end!

For starts I assume the webcam works fine under linux?
Post info about the webcam and module used with it.
It may depend on the webcam used and module it uses but I assume the output of the webcam is going through the block dev /dev/video0.
