strange sunrise/sunset times in kweather

i am running kde on a libranet system. my kweather seems to have the correct forecast, and i double checked that the location code is correct. however, the sun rise and sun set times are bizarre. it's 2:30 in the morning right now, and i'm seeing a bright sun icon, and the following information in the forecast:

sun rise: 12:35 am
sun set: 01:27 pm

i'm thinking a time zone might be set incorrectly somewhere, but i have no idea how i would go about fixing it. any suggestions?

Not exaclty sure about your system, but you are right, you need to set your timezone. It thinks you are on GMT. On my system (Mandrake10) the easiest way is to right click on the clock and adjust the time. Where you adjust the time it should have something about the timezone.

When I double click on the clock, it is showing the correct time, and says that I am in EST (which is my time zone).

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:11 PM.
