Strange stuff in 2.6.x-tests
Just yesterday i compiled and successfully booted to the 2.6.0-test2 kernel, now i know this kerenl is technically still considered a 2.5.x and under heavy development, but has anyone noticed such problems (in any recent 2.5, or a 2.6) as the mouse wheel not working (yes i have the axis set in /etc/X11/XF86Config, gkrellm2 not displaying a hard drive access krell (but the rest works fine?) when i go to setup for the hard drive, the tab is blank, almost like it reads something out of /proc and in the new kernel the location was changed...?, all my terminals refuse to open in X (xterm, wterm, or aterm) they all seem to try to come up then just go away again without an explination, and i cannot see what is crashing them because i cannot run a terminal in X to see... my windowmanager is WindowMaker. I also cannot get my sound to work, i think i must have just compiled the wrong driver into the kernel for that one though, i did have a little trouble figuring out why i could not load modules but modules-init-tools fixed that. im sure i will find more wierd stuff going on later, but i just wanted to know if anyone else has noticed anything like this? sides that, the kernel seems to run considerably faster then my old 2.4.21.... and does anyone know when the first real stable 2.6.0 will be out?
