What is the directory that contains the init scripts?

Unable to copy the source file ./installer/services.sh to the destination file

In Fedora, I would always use a super user terminal to do things as root. There has been instances where switching user with command (su) would only give limited super user privileges in a konsole or terminal. Apparently one must switch user with command (su-) or (su -) in Fedora when using a regular terminal. Might this be why you can't copy something to /etc/rc.d/init.d?

at last i guess maybe it caused by not running vmware-install.pl in its own dir,and i tried,GOD!!! just because of it.

like this:
[root@localhost ~]# cd /home/software/virtualMachine/vmware-server-distrib/
then runs this:
./vmware-install.pl
all error disappeared.
faint

It is not really your fault, it's a kind of bug in the script which causes he looks in his own dir for the needed files.

Unable to copy the source file ./installer/services.sh to the destination file
