strange keyboard problem

I have a strange keyboard problem. In order to type a or i must hit the key twice or i end up with this ĺ ..
This is anoying as you can imangine and itś the only key that act in this mannor. KDE on Fedora Core 2.
Keyboard is a Logitech Elite (wired version)

Is your keyboard layout correct ??

It probably should be US English, 104 Key. This seems to be a default that works for most keyboards.

You can change this in the KDE Control Centre, under Regional Settings

there we go i knew it was something simple

had to change the map from U.S. English (us_intl) to U.S. Englisu (us).
