i record from tvtuner with mencoder but i cant figure out, how to stop the recording. i type the command in the terminal and it starts running. also, the sound comes on. but when i close the terminal, the sound stays on.
so what is the proper way to end a recording?
thanks. ctrl+c is what i was looking for. somehow i did not find it in the manual.
but now i have another problem - i cant get any sound to my tv recordings. the sound is ok, when i watch tv with mplayer or tvtime, the sound even plays during mencoder recording, but for some reason it does not end up in the output file and i get no sound.
is use this command:
recording and playback volumes are normally controlled seperately on a soundcard, use aumix or a similar applciation to check the level of (typically) IGain. this is the recording volume normally.
