slowy getting closer to being able to install it~~~~~!!!
thanks for ur help mega, i assumed that installed it fine, no errors or nothing came up, now i am unsure how to run it, sorry for being so slow and thanks for your help.
finally, i want to thank you so much for the help. that su command enabled me to install tsl/tk as well. I'm new so thanks for making me aware of the basics. I can now access Msn now. Thanks so much!!! fast replies too~~
cool. glad it's working for you. gaim is nice as it has support for yahoo, aim/icq, msn, etc...
just remember when setting up accounts that screenname is not your nickname, but the name you use to login -> ie... some_user2000@hotmail.com
alias is what i would normally call the screenname. what you see when chatting with someone -> ie... some_user2000
one last thing, dou know off hand to change my nic, i says the nic i want on my screen right, but others are seeing and old one i had when i used to log in with windows.
ya that doesn;t want to seem to work. no big deal,
ya i tried that and still no go, no biggy tho, just glad to have finnaly got it to work.
another question for u since u know ur stuff: how can i get to my XP ntfs partitions. and does winx let me install windows programs?? i guess that two questions. lol sorry
