still no install
 

I created a boot disk and tried to install Mandrake 8.0 again, now it made it to the same place again, where it is coping files and about to begin second stage install.
This is where it freezes up every time, it is suprising how simple it boots onto my desk top. I just finished a class on Linux, but I still cannot load this onto my laptop.

does anyone know if there is a driver site I need to visit to download drivers for Linux? Or any more suggestions about the installation onto a laptop.

I do know how to load the OS, the simple and hard way on a desktop, but no idea on a laptop.

might want to check out www.linux-laptop.net for all your linux installs on laptops..

Try doing a text install, that normally works when the graphic version fails.
