Steam in MDK

Hey, im not sure at all what to do here... Could someone give me some good newb friendly instructions instead of a link that just confuses us n00bs?

If you are talking about Valve's Steam, then it is pretty self explanatory...

Get on a P2P program and download WineX, or find it elsewhere on the internet (transgaming.com charges for their download service).

Install it...

Download SteamInstall.exe

Run "winex3 SteamInstall.exe"

Follow the on screen instructions.

Run Steam.

It's pretty simple, really, but I haven't been able to get it to run at a decent FPS. It's running at like 0.4 FPS right now... same with HL. Everything else under wine/winex runs fine though.

I've tried for ages to get wine to work, and my honest advice is to not even bother. Even if you do manage to get it to work (which might only be a fraction of the time,) there's plenty of great software that you can get. Cheap or free. Sure, compiling seems a bit difficult if you're not used to it, but just make sure you have all the libraries- even the ones you don't think you need, and you should be fine.
