Question Static or Dynamic installation?

If they offer you a Static rpm install or a Dynamic rpm install,
(e.g: Opera )which one is the best or what is the difference?

Wink To static or Not too

Basically the newer binary Distro's will use the dynamic rpm's. Like Suse, Mandrake and RH. its used against the newer kernels but i cant tell you from what point tho. When I used Mandrake 8.1 kerenl 2.4.10 dynamic worked. But you would still be able to use static. Im talking in circles, im tired but, hey dont need to worry about static using Suse 7.3
