startup config??
where do the autoexec.bat equivilant files live or the registrys startup equiv. As a new user I would like to have the computer start up some services on boot instead of me having to do it manually at a shell prompt.
They are cupsd -f which may be a bad thing anyway with the printer daemon supposed to be running. (Maybe I should look into this further to make it work properly in the first place!) I arent sure I just know if it was typed automatically ten I would be able to print without and intervention being nessecary. aumix which I have to load on startup and then I leave open. I dont want to have the mixer settings saved as I do like them to be muted when the system is booted so I can pick a new level every time. Thanks in advance. Rob :D |
