Starting Linux installer from a floppy

Greetings everyone. Linux noobie here.

I've got an older computer, a P100, that I'm installing Linux onto. It'll be a dual boot system with Win 95, but that's not the subject of this post.

Being an older computer, the BIOS system does not support booting from a CD drive, thus my dilemma.

How do you recommend that I install Linux onto my system if I can't boot from a CD? I've tried searching for a Linux startup disk, but the only info I can find is to tell LILO to boot into Linux.

Please help!

Thanks in advance,

[edit] It's RedHat 5.9 that I'm trying to install [/edit]

i'd suggest something newer than rh59, yuor system is ageing, but should still eb able to cope with a newer distro... rh62 erc...

either way, on teh cd there should be a floppy disk image with instructions for creating a boot disk. normally they are in /dosutils and /images, with docs in there to help you.

I was just browsing through the CD and found the files that you were talking about, Acid.

I've never worked with disk images before, but I'll check out the documentation. Thanks for the quick reply. I'll check back in if I can't get anywhere with it.
