Start-up tune for Linux?
Hi
Is there a default start-up tune that plays every time you boot Linux up?. For example, when I boot Windows XP I get the old "systemstart" tune. If there is'nt a default one, is there a way to add my own? - Thanks |
What Distro of linux do you have? That would help alot..

Don't know about Gnome I don't use it, But from the KDE control center, click sound & multimedia in the left pane and select System notifications. In the right pane from the drop down menu select KDE system notifications and in the menu below that you will see........KDE is Exiting and KDE is starting up. Highlight either or and put a check in the box next to "play a sound" If you have your own sounds in your home directory like I do......
/home/<user>/.kde/share/sounds/ hope this helps........:o |
or just use the sound it comes with either way..

I use Fedora Linux core 1# and Gnome. Thank's:)

I can't do Java in mozilla.. you would think they would have to plug-in built in..

There are several threads here on how to get java to work in mozilla. I managed to get it working in mine in no time. Search & then ask back if you have any questions.
