StarOffice7 Installation java terminal

Attempting to install StarOffice7 on Mandrake 9.2.
Get as far as the java setup
It doesn't detect java so I tell it to install
I then get a window saying:
'No terminal program could be found. The Java installation process will therefore be aborted.'
I don't know what sort of terminal this is looking for.
Any clues?

OpenOffice is based off SUN's StarOffice... perhaps you can try using that. You can download OpenOffice from www.openoffice.org

If you have jre or j2sdk installed if not download and install.

make java symlink so all apps point to same place if jre updated later on

ln -s <location of jre directory> /opt/java

select custom install
at java install screen
check use an installed java runtime enviroment
click brovse and find your jre directory (/opt/java if you made symlink)
click ok
now you should see version of jre you have in a window
click next

hope this helps
