Star Office

I know sometime back, Sun offered a free version of Star Office. Is it still available for public download?

If so please post a link.

Thanks,

Mike

They offer a trial version of Star Office but the free version is now called Open Office.

What's the difference between Star Office and Open Office? When I open my Star Office, I notice that it mentions that it is built on Open Office or something, but I don't find any significant difference between the two.

As for a free Star Office, or any free software, if you are in a University/college, perhaps they will let you download one for free. I know at my University, we get free software like anti-virus, mail, and Star Office because the University has some sort of license with the companies that allows students/staff/faculty to use it.

Star Office has more features and support (whether you use them or not is another story) than the free Open Office.
