ssh productive setup
I ssh simultaneously into 5-8 host from my Ubuntu install (some Solaris hosts too).
Using just a terminal emulator is quite cumbersome, namely because the tabs (on gnome-terminal) don't say username@host properly.
can you recommend any software that is more of a connection manager? I would like to be able to connect quickly to hosts without typing too much; perhaps have them sorted into an accessible list or menu, and I need a setup where things do not get too archaic, and I can quickly see what hosts I am connected to with respective titles that display username@host correctly.
I have tried byobu (a screen modification) but wasn't sure if I run the session on my box, or on the host I have logged in to. This is extremely useful, once I get the hang of 'detaching' from sessions, and being able to resume them.
