ssh-agent not working properly...
Hi all
i am an ubuntu and debian sid user, lately i found a nice distro called elive, based on debian etch and installed it. It works wonderfully, if not for minor quirks, however: ssh-agent is not started on bootup like default debian if i manually start ssh-agent then ssh-add, i get an error that ssh-add couldn't connect to ssh-agent... how can i track down this problem? ssh-agent is still running and not zombie, but i can't ssh-add keys to it.. any idea where should i look? all the easy solutions are already tried: purge and reinstall, check permissions.. |
i think i made a small step forward
i found that if i give #env the SSH_AGENT_PID variable is not shown if i launch manually ssh-agent still the variable is not shown. But i don't know how can i make it get the correct variable! |
