package gtk+-1.2.10-40mdk.src.rpm is not installed
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
what can I do to install the packages src.rpm....???

Thoreau 04-06-2005 07:09 AM

rpmbuild --rebuild *.src.rpm

or

rpmrebuild *.src.rpm

I forget what mandrake uses for that command.

charnel 04-06-2005 12:05 PM

thank you for your help but it now gives the error message
--------------------------------------------
[root@localhost xmms]# rpm --rebuild gtk+-1.2.10-40mdk.src.rpm
/usr/lib/rpm/rpmb: No such file or directory
--------------------------------------------
what can I do??

Thoreau 04-06-2005 04:50 PM

Install the rpmbuild via your CD's/DVD's. Go through DrakConf.

reddazz 04-06-2005 05:27 PM

You need to do
Code:

#rpmbuild --rebuild package.src.rpm
If you don't have the rpmbuild package install it as suggested above.
