ok i ve downloaded some rpm,s
but they are src.prm
i know they are not specific and have to me compiled or something
so what do i do to compile it??
i am on fedora core 1

well to my knowledge rpmbuild is still packed with fedora so the following should be able to get your by :
rpmbuild --rebuild nameofpackage.src.rpm
and since i remember from redhat that the default install directory from that command is /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES i assume you would just replace redhat with fedora, and you will be able to find the extracted source in there...
and if this isn't the case i am sure someone will enlighten us with a correction..
