Hi,

When I try to send mail using Squirrelmail I get this error

ERROR: Error connecting to SMTP server "mail:25".Server error: (115) Operation now in progress

The setup is CentOS 4.4, with Squirrelmail running on Postfix/Dovecot, using TLS, IMAP on 993 and SMTP on 25. The mail clients work ok, but they do get a warning about the certficate on first connect, but I'm assuming this is because they are self signed.

This is the relevant section in /var/log/maillog

and the config.php for Squirrelmail. It doesn't matter if I change the server name to mail or localhost, I can still receive and read messages but not send.

Any help will be much appreciated.

I use secure smtp but on port 587 not 25. I don't know if this helps. I'd check setting with your email host?

Thanks for the reply James4coffee, but I am the host! I think that's where the trouble begins...

I've got Postfix using TLS on port 25, and a mail client will work fine with it. It's just Squirrelmail that's having problems sending through it.

Any other ideas?
