SquirrelMail Problems

Hi all...

I have a strange problem at the moment with my Squirrelmail installation. For the past few months Squirrelmail has been working fine. However after importing files from Outlook to my IMAP server, squirrelmail has not been working as it should.

I can login, browse through the folders, see the emails within them. However when I go an click on a email to read it or try to compose a new message nothing happens and I get this error in the following log:

http's error_log
Code:
[Sun Oct 30 14:51:34 2005] [notice] child pid 3635 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)
All the other logs including IMAP mail have no errors in them. I can however use a client such as Thunderbird with no problems

Any help in getting Squirrelmail to work again would be fantastic, as it is annoying when away, being able to see that you have emails, but not the ability to read or reply to them.

Many thanks in advance.

I'd say somehow those Outlook IMAP emails are the cause, corrupted and aren't viewable. I'd suggest either removing them from your users inbox or you can create a new user to test your squirrelmail setup. If the new user can recieve/send and view emails with no problems, import your Outlook emails and see if it starts the same issue.

Also until you can get this worked out, you can always login via ssh and view your email via mutt or pine, very nice console email programs..

I don't think that any of the emails are corrupted, as I can view them all using Thunderbird. It is only when using squirrelmail do I have problems.

It is quite annoying as I can move emails about into other folders, delete them, and empty the trash bin of all unwanted emails. I can see all emails in each folder and see it when new ones arrive in the Inbox. It is just when I try to open one of my emails or compose a new one through squirrelmail does nothing and the only error i find is the one mentioned earlier...

Any ideas?
