Squid Question
 

I run a couple of squid servers for the ISP I work for and had an oddball question on it the other day noone has answered for me. We had all 7 of our T1's go out in our one location the other day and I wondered if it was possible to have the squid server still serve out of its cache, it has about a 50% hit ratio which means all the customers that dialed into us that go through the cache server could still do alot online just running straight off the cache server. Is there a setting I can set in squid to just read off its local cache?

I know this is a really bad solution but I am just mostly curious.

I would say it needs to check the cache against the webserver it's coming from, which would result in a problem.
