split HDD

Hello,
I've installed FC4 on my system..
The hard drives are partitioned automaticaly by setup.
They're 2 x 250GB hdd's
but the linux recognized them as 1 450GB
[root@system ~]# df -lh
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00
451G 3.1G 424G 1% /
/dev/sda1 99M 10M 84M 11% /boot
/dev/shm 248M 0 248M 0% /dev/shm
[root@system ~]#

How I can split them without reinstall ?

It would probably work if you resized the filesystem to fit on only 1 drive, then remove the other, and reformat it. This has a high chance of breaking things though. If your looking for tools gparted or qtparted both support filesystem resizing.
