Split command and downloading to pc

It has been too long....duh.....

When splitting (split command) a .tar.gz file and downloading it via secureFX, download in ascii or binary?

thanx

Hi, welcome to LQ!

I don't know what secureFX is, and what platform it runs on. On a Linux (Uni*) system
there's really not much of a distinction between ASCII or binary, but a tar.gz file will
definitely LOOK like a binary. :}
