spf-milter configuration not working

Dear all,

i am finding it difficult to get spf-milter effectively filter spoof mails.

I am following instruction from:
http://osdir.com/ml/mail.spam.spf.di.../msg01122.html

In sendmail.cf, i have added:

Xspf-milter, S=local:/var/spf-milter/spf-milter.sock, F=T

# Input mail filters
O InputMailFilters=spf-milter

# Milter options
O Milter.LogLevel=9
O Milter.macros.connect=j, _, {daemon_name}, {if_name}, {if_addr}
O Milter.macros.helo={tls_version}, {cipher}, {cipher_bits}, {cert_subject},
{cert_issuer}
O Milter.macros.envfrom=i, {auth_type}, {auth_authen}, {mail_mailer},
{mail_host}, {mail_addr}
O Milter.macros.envrcpt={rcpt_mailer}, {rcpt_host}, {rcpt_addr}

then i:
service spf-milter start
service sendmail start

I read many instruction with similar instructions, it seems i have done configurations correctly but it is not filtering any spoof mail from external IP.

Anyone else have successfully configured spf filtering with sendmail?
I find it is important configuration on war against spam.

Thanks for taking time reading my thread!

Regards
Y

I don't use sendmail and never installed "spf-milter" but I would suggest a SpamAssassin it checks SPF's as well as blacklists and other means. I love it almost all my spam I am able to filter out after it adds the headers to the processed emails.

On my system it looks to be part of the package. I found:
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/Mail/SpamAssassin/Plugin/SPF.pm
