Spellchecker OK but no grammar checker working in OO 2 and 3

Is there a grammar checker for OO that is good. Right now I have to take my work into word on windows for this, then back into linux to reformat. It's so much of a pain that I may have to give up on linux for writing.

There is an extension available called LanguageTool, but I wouldn't say it was up to the standard of the grammar checker within Microsoft Word.

Links for LanguageTool:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/languagetool/
http://freshmeat.net/projects/languagetool/

Notes:
  1. As of 2009/05/20, the d/l link at sourceforge is broken, but one at freshmeat works.
  2. The d/l is the file LanguageTool-0.9.8.oxt -- WTF is a ".oxt" & how do you install it (yes, I did Wikipedia & Google ".oxt").
