spell checking
 
For some reson my computer stopped doing spell checking for gaim and open office. Does anyone have any ideas? am I missing a package or something maybe?

Probably you're missing dictionary for your language.

I checked, it seems to be installed. It works for evolution though, just not for gaim or openoffice.

yeah I did an upgrade through apt-get. I am running libranet.

hmm try uninstalling the upgrade to see if it was causing the problem.
