Question Spamassassin only checks mail <3Mb in size?

I have just discovered that any mail message coming in with an attachment larger than 3 Mb is delivered by postfix without running it through Spamd. Has anyone ever heard of this or is this a bug? All other email filtering works like a champ, only attachments cause the skip.
