I have installed Spamassassin on my RH9 machine, downloaded a sample config file for spamassassin, and set the filters in the Mozilla mail (if subject contains [SPAM] send to spam folder).
My server is a POP3 service, and I have not seen any spam mail filtered out. Did I miss something? It seems like it should be filtering a lot of mail out, or at least one or two. Is there a way I can check the subjects to see if anything is appended?
Yes, I set up both Mozilla and Evolution and no joy on either. The spammers keep changing too quickly to try and catch the majority with manual filters.
I am not sure yet, but it looks like I am getting close to solving this thing. The test file worked, now I just have to wait for some spam, shouldn't be long.
