Sound no longer works with Flash
Hey... I have a sound issue.
Sound works under Linux alright. Not great, but alright. Audio CDs playback fine, and KDE alert sounds also play. What ISN'T playing is sound in Flash movies. I know it used to work, back when I was running RedHat 9, but I usually avoid Flash pages, so I hadn't really noticed that they no longer have functioning sound under slackware. It's not a very serious issue, but I don't want to ahve to reboot just to watch homestarrunner! |
get a new flash plugin may help or have you try to use gnome instead ?
|
I just installed a new flash plugin a week or two ago, but this problem occurred months ago with older plugins.
No, I'm not switching to gnome. It used to work fine in KDE, I imagine it can work again. The only hard part is finding out how... also, I just tried running Enemy Territory, and the sound did not work for that either. But other games (such as VegaStrike) DID have working sound... wtf? |
