Previously I had sound working with schroot. However, I have started over. I thought I had just installed alsa packages to get sound working with schroot. This doesn't seem to be the case.
The walk-through I followed is pretty much:

/tmp, /dev, /proc, and /dbus are mounted rbind to the chroot. Kde starts fine in the chroot. Just no sound-- can't find alsacard '0'
I'm running Debian Sid AMD64 with the Hardy debootstrap as my chroot.
