hey, how do i import the sound and all other definitions, like scanner and printer setting, of root to all other users? my sound card and mpeg movies work when root logs on on X but not when other users log.

its not so much of a settings thing but a permissions thing...

if your unfamiliar with changing permissions in *nix..

maybe your users aren´t allowed to use it. For sound add your users to the "audio" group. in /etc/group. Mine look like this:
audio:x:29:kurt
