SOS: "opening pdf link" from mozilla

Hi !
I am using mozilla 1.2.1 .. Im not able to open a pdf link. Whenever i click on a pdf link, all my browser windows close down. I have been told by my admin that its a 'pluggerrc' file problem - a plugger file stored in the mozilla folder that has plugin details. here's the part of my current pluggerrc file that has details about acrobat reader -
---------------------

## Adobe Acrobat PDF
##
application/pdf: pdf: PDF file
application/x-pdf: pdf: PDF file
text/pdf: pdf: PDF file
text/x-pdf: pdf: PDF file
repeat swallow(documentShell) fill: acroread -tempFile +useFrontEndProgram -geometry +9000+9000 "$file"
repeat swallow(documentShell) fill: acroexch -tempFile +useFrontEndProgram -geometry +9000+9000 "$file"
repeat swallow(gv) fill: gv -safer -quiet -antialias -geometry +9000+9000 "$file" 2>/dev/null
repeat swallow(xpdf) fill: xpdf -g +9000+9000 "$file" >/dev/null 2>/dev/null

-------------------

does anybody see anything wrong in this ? what do i need to modify here ? i'd be grateful to anyone who can help me.. thanks a lot. looking forward.

Post which distro you are using in your profile it makes it easier to help.

This thread might help: LinuxQuestions.org - Adobe Acrobat 7 - Plugin for Firefox broken - where Linux users come for help

What plugins do you have installed?
Which version of Mozilla?
What pdf app are you trying to use?

The more info you provide the easier it is for people to come up with solutions.
