SONY BMG root kit -- do their discs play on Linux?

Here's a link that shows that some of their code is actually open-source stolen and not mentioned from the LAME encoder(for shame, for shame):


Ok. My basic question is Can one of these malware-infested Sony audio CD's affect/hoze a Linux system? Can a Linux-based system even play their XCP CD?

I do not own one of their titles. Anyone else? Anyone willing to give it a try? If Linux apps are able to play them without problems that's just that much more reason to use Linux over Windows....

A linux system will play the CD's just fine, and no, it wont hurt the system.
