hello ;

i have been installed KDE 4.1 RC1 on my Ubuntu 8.04
But i have some problems :-

1-how can i create a launcher to application or a folder or a file in my desktop
i can not make that yet ;

2-how can change the the pael place such as at top or at low or at right
and so ;

3-I have a problem that after log in there is np sound to play that i loged in such as there are in ubuntu gnome ;
is it the default ;
i do noot think so because i think i have a problem in sound under my KDE
because MPlayer can not play media sound (and media format )
even kaffeine Player play all with its sound so well ;
but Mplayer said no sound card ;
is this problem because kde ;
but MPlayer play all media format on ubuntu gnome so well without any problem

4-i hear a sound every time i open any thing
such openning a file can i stop it ;

5-when i am at first workspace i opened some application and i saw them in my panel that have task managers wedget but after i went to second workspace i saw them also why ;what gnome learned my that any workspace the panels is not shared between them ;

6-i have some folders and some files which its name in arabic language
but it appear as "??????" in Dolphin how i can see it in its encoding ;

7-how i can make Dolphin work with double click not one click for open things (folder/file);

8-how can i edit in my favorate tab contants which is in Application Lanugher ;

sorry i am at work now so these are the things that i can answer from the top of my head now

you make a folder view widget on the desktop and place your stuff in it

cant remember its exact place but its in the system settings

in system settings goto mouse then there is an option to change it to double click

right click on an application in the menu then select add to favorite
