Some Linux Software having problems under Windows 8
I am using Windows 8 x64 (dual boot with Linux Mint in mdadm raid) with Clementine 1.1.1. The multimedia keys "next" and "previous" tracks are not working. The pause/play multimedia key works. Mute and volume keys are used to control system volume. I have gone to Clementine preferences and set "Next Track". it listens for me to push a key. I push the forward multimedia key. It recognizes under Clementine preferences, and I save the changes. I do the same for the back key. However, neither of the keys work. I read a bug about microsoft intellitype software causing a problem, but I cannot find that software installed on my system and the symptoms of that bug with multimedia keys are different than mine.

I am confused you wouldn't have Linux software running under Windows 8 and there seems to be a problem with the multimedia keys, but in which OS. Are they not working on Linux or Windows 8? If Linux do you have the correct keyboard mapping? Is there a mapping for your keyboard yet? If it's windows 8 was windows 8 the Operating System that came with the PC?

Well if Clementine has been ported to Windows than it is now Windows application when running on Windows, not a Linux application running on Windows. Do the multimedia keys work in Windows media player? or Windows 8 in general? The issue may not be the software, it could be Windows 8 if the keys just don't work at all. If it is the software I am not familiar enough with Clementine to tell you where to look other than the preferences section.
