solution needed

Hello,
I have to develop a fifteen-days solution for this ( I will try
to put it simple, exscuse my english ).
I have a switch on a LAN that should manage access from many types
of connections, some from wi-fi access points, some from clients
manage accounts, and need a software that do this and control access
to the internet. I looked on the web and seems that a solution
like FreeRADIUS could be good for my case, however I would like to
know other opinions or if a squid solution could be adapted to my case.
(However it should permits not only web navigation, but mail protocols
also should be enabled).
Suggestions? Experiences?

Ok, it seems that FreeRADIUS do more than I need.
Probably all could be done via a captive portal solution..
?!?!?

Are you trying to use a machine in place of a router?

From what you are describing just put a router in, create a bastion host and DMZ as needed and away you go.

No, I think the solution to my needs could be something like wifidog, and I am
trying to work with it. (it seems a complex situation, however..)
